The biggest trap is the slavery to self. The root of every evil is self. Lucifer was an angel, till he thought of himself as a greater being than God. He said “I will climb to the mountain of God. I will ascend to the heavens. I will become like God”. He used the word “I” again and again. He eventually lost his place in heaven and became a dark angel destined to live in the bottomless pit for all eternity.

Man exalted himself at the tower of Babel. He still continues to exalt himself. He thinks that he is the center of the universe. Our biggest enemy is our own ego. Sometimes a part of us rebel against our inner man. This part creates every obstacle possible to reach God. Unless we release ourselves from our ego we can never see the face of God. Our ego is our self reliance, our belief that we can figure out everything. We think we can figure out everything intellectually. We think we can buy happiness with money. We think we can provide safety by building huge homes. We think we can buy immortality by political power and prestige. It is a lie. The truth is that we are vulnerable. The truth is that we all will die and experience rigor mortis after death. Grave is cold. Body will decay. The only thing that remains is our soul.
