It is said that before creating man God consulted the three angels – Justince, Truth and Mercy. Justice and Truth told God “ do not create man, for he will be unjust and will be a liar”. But mercy said, “Create him and entrust him to me.”
Creating man God said, “you are all children of Mercy. Go throughout the world and show mercy to all.”
“Because you are precious in my sight you honor and I love you. I give people in return for you, nations in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you, I will gather you” (Is. 43/4-5)
