The great majority of the people of Israel at the time of our Lord were thinking that the promised Messiah would come in glory and deliver them from the yoke of Rome and would restore to Israel the grandeur and glory of the time of Kings David and Solomon.
Messiah came, not in the manner they expected, but as a Babe in Swaddling clothes, as a derelict of God upon the Cross.
God is faithful in his promises. But it may not be in the way we think and immediately as we hope, He fulfils His promises.
Our prayers and our persuasions before God will surely be heard and fulfilled though not in the manner and time frame we think, but in the appointed manner and time of the Lord.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
